The Seven Lives of Beit Beirut
Beirut, 2021
Derived from my Master’s thesis, Beit Beirut: A Place of Memory(-ies), this series explores the mission of a symbolic site such as Beit Beirut (Beirut’s home).
By employing photo collage as a primary medium, the work engages with the building’s complex history, questioning the implications of architectural transformation through time. The installation shows the different temporalities of the building, reflecting how its physical transformation impacts its identity as a site of memory.
