Losing Touch, ‘Beyrouth des petits métiers’

Beirut, 2011

Feeling the need to study further Beirut craftmanship’s, we started exploring the city while identifying craftsmen and listing an inventory for the city. Together with photographer Paul Gorra, we spent a full year investigating, looking for artisans, discovering theirprofession and personal stories and documenting those encounters.

Out of this exploration, a bilingual book was born, filled with untold stories and lives of valient craftsmen. A book providing a craftmanship urban map, allowing the localisation of artisans and craftsmen in the disorganised urban landscape.
