Losing Touch, ‘Beyrouth des petits métiers’

Beirut, 2011

Driven by a desire to archive Beirut’s vanishing artisanal heritage, we embarked on a year-long urban survey to identify and document the city’s remaining craftsmen. Working alongside photographer Paul Gorra, we documented the encounters, professions, and personal narratives of local artisans.

This extensive field research culminated in Losing Touch, a bilingual publication that serves as both a collection of untold stories and a functional craftsmanship map, navigating the artisans’ presence within Beirut’s complex and fragmented urban landscape.
